     John Nicholas Kellenbarger was the son of * Joseph Kellenbarger and Barbara Schorr.¹ John Nicholas Kellenbarger was born on 10 February 1866.¹ He was baptized on 18 February 1866 at Sacred Heart Church, Geneva, Fairfield, OH; by Fr. J.W.Brummer.¹ He Apparently, John is deceased by 1870, as he is not in the family in the 1870 Census...but he's not found in the local graveyards, so some more searching may reveal otherwise. in 1870.

     Henry Fox was born on 10 June 1798 at Totnes, Devonshire, England.¹ He was the son of Samuel Fox and Ann Lee.¹ Henry Fox was christened on 8 July 1798 at Totnes, Devonshire, England.¹ He married Mary Ann Janes on 25 December 1821 at Totnes, Devonshire, England.¹ Henry Fox died on 22 February 1865 at Elizabeth, St. Hobart, Tasmania, at age 66.¹

      As of 25 December 1821,her married name was Fox.¹ Mary Ann Janes married Henry Fox, son of Samuel Fox and Ann Lee, on 25 December 1821 at Totnes, Devonshire, England.¹ Mary Ann Janes died on 26 November 1875 at Upper Harrington, St. Hobart, Tasmania.¹

     William James Ball I do hope we can establish more information on the Thomas-Ball connection because it would help pin down about a 20 or 30 year gap in my knowledge of William James Ball. I have him pinned down in Adams and Wells counties in Indiana through the 1870 census, then a marriage reference in 1876, then nothing till he turns up in Missouri in the 1900 census with his wife and three of his four sons. Obviously something went on during those years that took him from S. C. (Raffensberger) Ball, his first wife in Indiana I assume, to Sarah Catherine (Briles) Ball, his second wife in Missouri. Did he have a son by the first wife who may have changed his name to Thomas through an adoption? That may be the simplest explanation...now we would just need to reserch adoption records from the 1870s and 1880s...It's an idea anyway. I'd like to find the history on S. C. Raffensberger.
My great grand father William James Ball was very close in time and geography to your James A. Thomas (Indiana, 1863)...that is, he was born in Adams County, Indiana in 1849. He married possibly twice and I have no information except a name and date on the first marriage: S. C. Raffenberger in 1875, in Indiana.
