The
Thomas' came from North Carolina before 1845 and settled in Wayne/Randolph
Co. Indiana.
There are many Quakers from
North Carolina who settled in Randolph Co., Indiana before 1850.
This was a stronghold of Quaker activity, and in fact there were
many Quaker Thomas', but as Joseph and Lucy's marriage was not
on the Quaker books, it has yet to be determined whether they were,
indeed, Quakers.
