     Clarissa Friend Oswalt was a witness Children of Abrose and Clarissa Floyd taken from the Ambrose Floyd Bible. All of this family died young. No mention is made of a Levi B. Floyd, B. 1841 and Margaret Floyd, B. 1843, supposed to have been children of Clarissa Floyd by an earlier marriage. with Ambrose Flautt.¹ Clarissa Friend Oswalt was born in 1824 at OH.¹ As of 27 July 1845,her married name was Flautt.¹ As of 27 July 1845, Clarissa Friend Oswalt was also known as Floyd It has yet to be confirmed if she ever used the name Flautt.¹ She married Ambrose Flautt, son of George Flautt, on 27 July 1845.¹ Clarissa Friend Oswalt died on 18 February 1908.¹

     Martha Sowers (?) was born on 17 February 1841.¹ As of 30 April 1865,her married name was Flautt.¹ She married Ambrose Flautt, son of George Flautt, on 30 April 1865.¹ Martha Sowers (?) died on 18 February 1908 at age 67.¹

     Michael Gibbons emigrated; Michael Gibbons and two brothers came to America from Ireland. They parted when the ship landed. Michael came to PA and met Grace Sweeney. They lived on a farm in Dauphin County near Carlisle, PA. Michael never heard any news from his brothers.² He was First a tailor then later a farmer.¹ He was born between 1789 and 1790 at Donegal, Ireland.¹ He married Grace Genevieve Sweeney in 1808.^3,2,4,1 Michael Gibbons and Grace Genevieve Sweeney lived circa 1820 at Cumberland, PA; Until their deaths.¹ Michael Gibbons The 1845 Harrisburg City Directory shows no Gibbons or variant spellings. in 1845.⁵ He died in 1868; summer.^2,4

     Grace Genevieve Sweeney was born in 1792 at Donegal, Ireland.^2,3,1 She married Michael Gibbons in 1808.^2,3,4,1 As of 1808,her married name was Gibbons.² Grace Genevieve Sweeney emigrated in 1819; Siblings James, John Thomas, Grace and Ellen Sweeney came to America from Parish Claudendock, Donegal, Ireland and settled in PA.^3,1 She and Michael Gibbons lived circa 1820 at Cumberland, PA; Until their deaths.¹ Grace Genevieve Sweeney died on 8 October 1861 at on a farm, near Carlisle, Dauphin, PA.^3,4,1

     Her married name was McMullen.¹ Emily Gibbons lived between 1831 and 1849 at Cumberland, PA.² She was born on 4 July 1831 at Carlisle, Cumberland, PA.^1,3,2 She was the daughter of Michael Gibbons and Grace Genevieve Sweeney.¹ Emily Gibbons married Patrick McMullen on 12 November 1849 at Rehboth, Perry, OH; This union became of Emily being in Perry Co. to visit her aunt Ellen Sweeney McMullen, sister of Grace Sweeney Gibbons, and Patrick visiting his uncle of the same name who was married to Grace Sweeney McMullen.

     Patrick McMullen Both Finnen Fam and FDC sources show marriages of Patrick McMullen to both Ellen Sweeney (1819) and Emily Gibbons. This needs checked out. For now I have shown the two Patrick McMullens as separate people.^2,1 He was born between 1823 and 1824; Assumed from 1850 Census.
