Fisher, 90, of 905 W. Wayne, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Springview Manor following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 8, 1874, in Bath Township, a daughter of Frances and Emma Roush Roberts. She married Emmet E. Fishe and he died Sept. 19, 1942. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Grace Fisher and Mrs. C. I. (Margaret) Smith both of 827 State; two brothers, Oliver Roberts of St. Marys and William Roberts of LaVern, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Zuber of Fostoria and Mrs. Gertrude Gardner of Portland, Ore; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fisher was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Chiles and Sons-Laman Chapel. Rev. John Berger will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.1' She was buried on 28 July 1965 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Allen County, Ohio.1

Cavins, 77, of Columbus. He died Saturday at University Hospital in Columbus. He was born Aug. 3, 1904, in Chillicothe, the son of Ora and Beryl Wert Cavins. He married Lucille Robert, who survives. Mr. Cavins was retired after 41 years as chemistry teacher at Upper Arlington High School. He was also employed for 37 years with the Upper Arlington Swimming Pools. He was a 1926 graduate of Otterbein College and did graduate work at the University of Michigan and Ohio State University. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel in Columbus where friends may call until 4 and from 7 to 9 today.1' He was buried on 2 March 1982 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.1

Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Surviving him are his wife, Alminta; two daughters, Mrs. C. I. Smith of 827 State st and Miss Grace Fisher at home; three grandchildren, Mrs. H. T. A retired salesman for Sunday Creek Coal Co. in Columbus, he was born March 19, 1895, in Congo, Ohio. He was a son of Joseph and Phoebe Smith. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Mrs. C. A. (Josephine) Patterson of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. James (Kathryn) Myers of Walnut, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Vila Ragge of Springfield and Mrs. Eulah Craig of Corning; and six grandchildren. Mr. Smith was a member of Lima Lodge 205, F&AM, Consistory Valley of Toledo, Lima Chapter and Lima Council, and St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home. Rev. Wesley T. Runk will officiate, and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.1'

Burial was to be made near New Carlisle. He is survived by his widow, Jennie Mae; five sons, Eugene F., Columbus Grove, Stanton, Georgetown, Ind., Cpl. Aubrey, Camp Blanding, Fla., Evan, Louisville, Ky. and John at home; a brother, Dr. W. H. Beery, 215 N. Woodlawn av, and six grandchildren.1' He was buried on 12 September 1945 at New Carlisle, Clark County, Ohio.1

Beery, 71, Route 2, Columbus Grove, died Monday, Feb. 11, in Bluffton Community Hospital. Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, the Rev. Paul Myers officiating. Burial was in Blue Lick Cemetery. Mr. Beery was the son of Frank and Margaret (Roberts) Beery. His wife, the former Agnes Stockler survives. The couple were wed in 1927. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Monty (Margaret) Blume, Colorado Springs, Colo; and Mrs. Charles (Mary) Geiger, Vandalia; and a son, Ray Akron. Other survivors include four grandchildren, brothers Stanton, Cleveland, Tenn; Evan, Louisville, Ky; John Dayton; and a sister, Aubrey, Springhill, Fla. Mr. Beery, a retired farmer, was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.1' He was buried on 13 February 1974 at Bluelick Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio.1

Beery, 75. She died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday at Bluffton Community Hospital. She was born April 19, 1905, in Cairo, the daughter of Frank and Alzada Hawk Stockler. She married Eugene Beery, who died in 1974. Mrs. Beery was a retired teacher in the Bath school system in Lima. She was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret J. Blume of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mary F. Geiger of Vandalia; a son, Ray E. Beery of Akron; five grandchildren; four brothers, Frank Stockler of Lima, Charles Stockler of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., Richard Stockler of St. Petersburg, Fla., and John Stockler of Merrillville, Ind. Rev. Eugene Lenker will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Bluelick Cemetery.1' She was buried on 8 July 1980 at Bluelick Cemetery, Allen County, Ohio.1

For many years a resident of the Lima district, of which she was a native, Mrs. Roberts and her husband moved to the west coast about 14 years ago. She was said to be a member of the Mennonite church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Roberts is survived by a daughter, Edith, and a son, Maynard Roberts, both of La Verne, and four sisters, whose names and addresses were unknown locally. Funeral of Mrs. Roberts is to be held Monday in the California home.1' She was buried on 5 April 1937 at LaVerne, Los Angeles County, California.1

Mr. and Mrs. Roberts are former Lima residents. Mr. Roberts is a retiree of the Ohio State Highway Department accounting division. Mrs. Roberts was a teacher in the Lima Public Schools. Oliver R. Roberts and the former Hazel M. Engle were married in the parsonage of the former United Brethren Church on June 16, 1915, by Rev. A. W. Ballinger. Active in the work of their church, the couple has been employed by the church camp in St. Marys since their retirement. They are the parents of two daughters: Mrs. Charles (Janet) Fleck Jr., Stockton, Ill., and the late Mrs. Frank (Erdine) Hamblen. They have three grandchildren.1' Hazel ENGLE died on 11 February 1993 at Lebanon, Ohio, at age 103; 'Word has been received of the death Thursday in Lebanon, of former Lima resident Hazel Engle Roberts, 103, of Otterbein Retirement Center, Lebanon. She was born Dec. 18, 1889, in Lima, to George W. and Arvilla Welker Engle. On June 16, 1915, she married Oliver R. Roberts, who died in 1981. Mrs. Roberts taught at Whittier Elementary School in Lima and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, where she and her husband were active in evangelistic and missionary work. Survivors include a daughter and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date.1'

Cole St., who died at her parents' home here Saturday after an extended illness. She was the wife of Rev. Frank R. Hamblen, pastor of the High Street Evangelical United Brethren Church. Born in Lima, Mrs. Hamblen lived here all her life except for the period 1938-48. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Roberts, 662 W. Spring St., in whose home she died. Mrs. Hamblen was a member of the High Street EUB Church, past vice president of the Sandusky branch, Women's Missionary Assn. of the EUB Church; and branch counselor of the Otterbein Guild Girls. She served for three years on the Lima YWCA personnel committee, and also was active in organizing a ministers' wives association. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hamblen is survived by two sons, David and John, and a daughter, Ruth, all at home; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Fleck, Chatsworth, Ill. The body is in the CHiles and Son Funeral Home and will be removed at 1 p.m. Tuesday to the High Street EUB Church, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Rev V. I. Sullivan will officiate and burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.1'

He is survived by his wife, Elva; two daughters, Mary and Gladys, both at home, and a son, Charles, also at home; his siter, Mrs. Gladys Nelson, and his mother, Mrs. Frank Custer, both of Miami, Fla. The body will arrive in Lima Tuesday afternoon and will be removed to the Davis-Miller and Son funeral home to remain for services at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.1' He was buried on 18 December 1940 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Allen County, Ohio.1
