SCHORR

This is the Schorrs of the area of Dirmingen, Germany, which, between 1792 and 1815 was part of Alsace, France. The earliest known couple of this family is Peter Schorr (c1630-b1693) and N. N. Libera (Liberta). Peter may have been the son of Claus Schorr and Catharina Heckman. The immigrant family that settled in Fairfield Co., OH was that of Matthias Schorr (1779-1840), who first married Katharine Nau, then Barbara Weyland (Weiland).
